About me: Hi my name is Joan I have been childminding for about 23 years now, I love my job and really enjoy working with children. At my last Ofsted Inspection in March 2011 I was graded as Outstanding which I was absolutely thrilled with. I live with my husband and daughter in Stockport, they have both been a huge support to me over the years as has my eldest daughter who no longer lives at home. Upon asking my eldest Grandson who is six what he likes about my setting when he visits he said everything. We have three tortosies, one cat, one rabbit and one Guinea pig my mindees love to help feed the rabbit and guinea pig. I a level 3 Diploma in homebased chidcare Grade A, the mandatory first aid and safeguarding and am keen to go on any course that is offered. I charge 3.50per hour and can negioate a full time rate, I am open between 8 and 6 but do not work weekends or bank holidays. The children in my care enjoy painting, playdough, craftactivites, baking, singing, reading, we plant seeds each year and enjoy eating our produce. we have sand and water play and a large park nearby which I use a lot. My mindees love to take out the magnifying glasses and we can look at tree bark, bugs spiders webs etc. we also have a large reservoire where we love to feed the ducks and watch the model sail boats.I think I have covered everything but there is probably bags more that I do.
