National Young Writers’ Award 2010

The Explore Learning National Young Writers’ Award is a creative writing competition open to children aged 14 and under. It is an annual event designed to inspire children to write stories, and to find the best young authors in the UK.

This year’s theme is ‘Lost and Found’, and stories should be based on this subject. The maximum word limit for all stories is 500 words. You can enter by email, by post, or at your local Explore centre. Click here for more information on how to enter.

Plus, the winner will receive a trip to DisneyLand Paris for their family, and £500 worth of books for their school!

You'll find some activities to help your child with their creative and story writing skills, which will enable them to write the best story they can! View these within our Maths/English section.

Good Luck to all our budding writers!

Terms and Conditions: This competition is open to all UK residents aged 14 years and under. The closing date for entries is Friday 5 March 2010, and the winners will be announced on 15th March 2010.
