  1. I am a PACEY member, how do I log in to my iChild Directory listing page and access my exclusive resources?
As a PACEY member you must log in each time through MyPACEY on the PACEY website to receive all of your additional benefits on iChild. Click here and enter your PACEY login details as normal. Then click on the orange ‘Access Your Benefits’ button to come straight across to your PACEY Member Homepage on the iChild website.
 
  1. My account status says “Standard” but I have upgraded to iChild Gold membership? 
As a PACEY member you have TWO iChild accounts, one directly through iChild.co.uk and another via your PACEY membership. Your PACEY iChild account can only be accessed via the PACEY website. To access iChild, your iChild Directory web page listing, and additional exclusive resources, please always login to iChild via the PACEY website with your PACEY login details as above in point 1. Remember to log out first from your iChild Standard account. Please check that this separate PACEY iChild account is “Gold”. If after doing this you still have a problem please email us at enquiries@ichild.co.uk.
 
  1. My account status says “Silver” but I have upgraded to iChild Gold membership? 
As a PACEY member you have TWO iChild accounts, one directly through iChild.co.uk and another via your PACEY membership. It is likely that you upgraded your Standard iChild.co.uk account and not your PACEY  iChild account. Please email us here at enquiries@ichild.co.uk with your name and email address (that was used on your registration) and we will upgrade your PACEY  iChild account to “Gold” also.
 
  1. I have filled in details for my iChild Directory listing page but I cannot see myself on directory searches. Why is this?
After you have completed all sections of “Edit My Listing” you MUST click on “Confirm and Publish” in the last red section “Terms & Conditions and Publish” (after accepting the terms & conditions). Only once you have clicked on this button will your listing be active. You will also then be able to access your exclusive PACEY  resources.
 
If you have completed the above and your listing is still not showing in searches, please contact the iChild team at enquiries@ichild.co.uk and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. 
 
  1. I cannot save information (such as my new email address) on “Edit My Listing” or part of the “Edit My Listing” form appears to be missing.
You need to use Internet Explorer 9 or above, Chrome or Firefox to use the service. It is likely you are using an old browser which will need to be upgraded. You can upgrade for free here:

  1. I have forgotten my PACEY login details what should I do?
Please contact the PACEY customer services team on 0845 880 0044. They will be able to advise you on this. 
 
  1. I have searched for my postcode on the directory but I do not appear at the top of the list. How are the results ordered?
iChild Directory search results are listed in this order:
 
Gold members with vacancies within the specified distance
Gold members with possible vacancies within the specified distance
Silver members with vacancies within the specified distance
Silver members with possible vacancies within the specified distance
Gold members without vacancies within the specified distance
Silver members without vacancies within the specified distance
Gold members with out of date vacancy information within the specified distance*
Silver members with out of date vacancy information within the specified distance*
 
* Please keep your vacancy information up to date in order to stay higher in searches. Simply login as per point 1) above, visit "Update My Vacancies" and if nothing has changed, just hit "Update Vacancies" to indicate your information is up to date.
 
  1. How are the distances on the iChild Directory search results calculated?
Directory search results are calculated based on the distance of the childminder from the postcode selected within a radius of 10 miles, as the crow flies. The search can be refined and alternative distances can be selected between 3 and 25 miles. 

 

9.  I want to show how many future vacancies I have, is this possible on my listing?

Yes, future vacancies can now be included on your directory listing. Simply login to your PACEY Member Homepage on iChild (via MyPACEY) and click on the blue “Update my Vacancies” button. Here you will be able to specify current and future vacancies based on the age of the child (remember to click “Update Vacancies” to save).
 
  1.  I want to add photos and text to my listing. How do I do this?
Featuring photos and text in your web page is only available to iChild Gold members. You can view how your web page would look if you upgraded to Gold on your “Edit My Listing” page. To upgrade at any time please do so on your PACEY Member Homepage on the iChild website, logging in via MyPACEY (login as per point 1).
 
  1. I want to change my email address on the iChild Directory. How do I do this?
Login to your PACEY Member Homepage on iChild (via MyPACEY as per point 1), click on the blue “Edit My Listing” button. Click on the pink “Contact Details” box and enter your email address twice, then click on the pink “Update Listing” button to confirm. 
 
  1. My Town and/or Postcode are not appearing correctly on the iChild Directory. How do I change these details?
Town and Postcode details are taken from information stored with PACEY. You can change both Town and Postcode if either of these are appearing as incorrect. To do this, login into the MyPACEY members area as normal here. Click on “Change My Details” in the "My Details" box on the left, then update your town and postcode (if required) and click “Submit”.
 
Once you have done this, your details will change automatically the following day. If after 24 hours the information is still incorrect on your listing, please contact the iChild team at enquiries@ichild.co.uk and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
 
  1. Where can I find a copy of all the enquiries I have received from parents via my “Contact Me” form? 
Login to your PACEY Member Homepage on iChild (via MyPACEY as per point 1), look for the following text: “Parent message ( ). View parent messages”, click on this link and you will see a list of all enquiries received from parents, via your “contact me” form on your web page. These are copies of the emails sent to you.
 
You will not be able to reply directly to parents from these messages stored here. Instead, you need to copy and paste the parent’s email address into your email, or reply to the emails already sent to your email address. If you are not receiving emails make sure your correct email address is stored (see point 11 above) and/or check your spam folder and then mark the email address as “safe”.
 
  1. How much do I have to pay for iChild Silver membership?
There is no cost for iChild Silver membership. It is part of your PACEY membership.

  1. As an iChild Silver member what benefits do I get?
As a silver member you can benefit from a free vacancy listing to advertise your business and exclusive resources which are continually being added to.
 
  1. How much is iChild Gold membership?
Gold membership is either £7.99 per month, or pay annually and get two months free at £79 per year. 
 
  1. What are the benefits of signing up to iChild Gold membership?

  1. If I want more information, help with my directory listing or my question hasn’t been answered on this page who should I contact?

19.  I am a Gold member and am adding my own website address details (URL) onto my directory listing page. When I click this link on my page, it says 'Page not found'.
 
Please ensure that when you enter your own website address details on your directory listing, that you include http:// before the www. As an example, the iChild website would be written as; http://www.iChild.co.uk. This will ensure that this link can be clicked on, and will direct parents to your website.
