Royal Mail Future Gold Medal Winner Stamps

Following the inspiring London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we now want to help the UK’s children think about their sporting dreams, and how they will achieve them.

You may be familiar with the popular Gold Medal Winner Stamps from Royal Mail; now your children can create their own “Future Gold Medal Winner” photo stamps (or you can create fun stamps from old photos of family members from years gone by!). Simply follow the steps below;

Step 1- Download the Royal Mail Smilers app from the App Store onto an iPad or iPhone, or from Google Play onto selected Android tablets or phones.

Step 2- Select whether you want to take a photo, or upload a photo or scanned picture (perhaps like the picture Tom Daley drew of his Olympic dream when he was nine!) from your files.

Step 3- Pick the rectangular Future Gold Medal Winner photo stamp template from the 3 choices.

Step 4- Adjust your picture in the space if necessary, and click on the next arrow.

Step 5- Enter details here; first name, surname, sporting event and school/club/hometown. You can now download this design if you'd like to (select the 'down' arrow icon at the bottom), or alternatively click on the next (right) arrow to purchase your photo stamps.

Step 6- Select how many stamp sets you would like to buy and click on the shopping cart to pay. Stamp sets are £9.99 for 10 1st Class Stamps plus £1.45 p&p in the UK. Royal Mail will try to dispatch orders within 5 working days of receipt, however you should allow plenty of time when ordering these Smilers stamps.

You will find the Sporting Dreams education resources and activities here.
