Shavuot Activities for Children
Welcome to our Shavuot section!
This Jewish Festival is celebrated on 30th May 2017 and 19th May 1919.
Shavuot, or the ‘feast of weeks’, begins at sunset and is celebrated seven weeks after Passover. This festival has been identified since biblical times, with the giving of the Torah by God to Moses, on Mount Sinai. It is customary to eat dairy foods on Shavuot.
