St. Nicholas Activities for Children

Christian Feast Day - 6th December

St Nicholas is the origin of our Father Christmas tradition. Nicholas was a real peson, who dedicated his life to serving God and to helping those in need. He became a Bishop and was famous for his genorisity to those in need and for his love of children. Bishop Nicholas was persecuted by the Romans and then imprisoned for some years. He died on 6th December AD 343.
The story of the saint who gave to the poor, especially to those in need, has over the centuries become the legend of our Santa Claus.
