Royal Mail Classic Children's TV Activities for Children

Welcome to Royal Mail’s Classic Children's TV education resource activity section, to support the launch of Royal Mail's Special Stamps celebrating 60 years of children's TV.

The activities below have been produced in conjunction with teachers and educational specialists, and are linked to the National Curriculum requirements in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, so can be used both at home and within a childcare setting or school. The resources are suitable for EYFS and Key Stage 1 (or equivalent).

The Bagpuss activities include two songs to learn: 'I Saw A Ship A' Sailing' and 'The Old Woman Tossed Up in a Basket', which have been exclusively recorded by Sandra Kerr, the co-writer of the original Bagpuss songs.
