Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Once you use the website or the services you will be deemed to have read and accepted this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of use included on the website. 1. Introduction
The iChild website (the "Website") is operated by iChild, a division of Family & Education Marketing Limited ("iChild") (Company Number: 06535747 and VAT registration 930 2254 60) whose registered office is at 10-14 Accommodation Road, Golders Green, London NW11 8ED.

Certain services accessible through the Website are provided in collaboration with other organisations. The childminder profile and vacancies service offered as part of the Website is operated by iChild in conjunction with National Childminding Association (Company Number: 02060964 and registered charity number 295981) whose registered office is at Royal Court, 81 Tweedy Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1TG (NCMA).

iChild (Family & Education Marketing Limited) is the data controller of the Website (acting alone or jointly with others). Our ICO registration number is Z2791505.

In this Privacy Policy, "we" "us" and "our" mean iChild.

We take your privacy seriously and this Privacy Policy explains the steps we take to ensure information about you is kept secure and confidential.

2. The information we collect from you and purposes for which we use it
2.1 The provision of our Service (as defined in our Terms and Conditions) to you, requires us to collect and store certain personal information, gathered during your registration and from information you provide to us (either directly or through NCMA), which relates to you and identifies you, including but not limited to your name and email address and, where relevant, your NCMA membership number and postcode. If you choose to buy Products (as defined in our Terms and Conditions) or to subscribe for membership through our Website, then we may collect information about your buying behaviour, including details of your transactions and financial information. If you send us personal correspondence such as emails or letters then we may collect this information into a file specific to you. All such information collected by us shall be referred to in this Privacy Policy as "Personal Information".

2.2 To enable us to monitor and improve our web site, we may gather certain aggregated information about you when you use it, including details of your operating system, browser version, domain name and IP address, the URL you came from and go to and the parts of our web site you visit.

2.3 We may aggregate statistics, traffic patterns and related site information and disclose such aggregate data to third parties for marketing, advertising or other promotional purposes but such aggregate data will not include any Personal Information.

2.4 A cookie is a small file, which is stored by our website on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies only to store information such as your user ID and your session identifiers. We do not store other Personal Information such as passwords, preferences, etc. in cookie files.

2.5 You must ensure that the Personal Information you provide to us is accurate and complete and that all ordering and registration details (where applicable) contain your correct name, address and other requested details.

2.7 Together with the various purposes in clause 2.8, iChild will use, store or otherwise process any Personal Information to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the Services, including purchasing Products or services, which are available through our website, by us, our partners, successors (including the purchase of the whole or part of our business), associates, sub-contractors or other third parties (together our "Partner Companies"). For ease of reference the purposes in clause 3 shall simply be referred to as "Purposes" in this Privacy Policy.

2.8 iChild may also use, or permit our Partner Companies to use, your Personal Information to offer you personalised services, information and offers that we or our Partner Companies believe may be of interest to you. If you consent to iChild's use of your Personal Information in this way, you must tick or state ‘yes’ in the relevant box(es) on the form on which your Personal Information is collected, for example, your Registration Form (as defined in the Terms and Conditions) or the order form.

2.9 If you wish to withdraw such consent to either iChild's use and/or our Partner Companies' use of your Personal Information, then you should email the Information Officer at enquiries@iChild.co.uk.

3. Financial information, including debit and credit card details
This information, which is required for payment of goods and services, is never actually received by us. The page where you give this information is controlled by our contract merchant service provider, World Pay. Such information is encrypted automatically, and later decrypted for use, and it never touches our system. We do not store any financial information in our systems such as your debit card or credit card number or expiry date.

4. Disclosing information about you
4.1 iChild may disclose and/or sell aggregate information, for example number of users, typical ages, and locations, to third parties, including potential advertisers. Such information is statistical and does not identify individuals.

4.2 iChild reserves the right in certain circumstances to access your membership account or disclose your Personal Information to our Partner Companies without your consent. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, any breach of this Privacy Policy and/or our Terms and Conditions by you, any requirement by law or at the request of any other Governmental or law enforcement agency.

5. Security
Keeping your Personal Information secure is very important to us. We will take appropriate and up-to-date measures to protect your Personal Information, including using password protection, data encryption and virus checking. Sensitive information, for example, passwords and credit card details, is encrypted to minimise to risk of interception during transit. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. As a result, whilst iChild strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information which you send to us, and you do so at your own risk.

6. Transferring your information abroad
Personal Information, whether submitted to us by you via the Internet or by other means will only be transferred abroad by us or our Partner Companies for the purpose of performing contractual obligations owed by us to you, or when we have your prior consent to such transfer. No Personal Information will be transferred outside the EEA without further notification on the Website.

Our Website contains links to other websites. iChild is not responsible for the privacy practices of any site besides our own. Please check the privacy statements of those sites if you have any concerns about their policies.
