Welcome to our section on Art and Design for year 1

The resources in this section are a sequence of lessons focusing on the theme of Botanical Art, specifically within painting. We explore the history of botanical art, famous artists who created paintings and drawings of flowers or plants, what we like/dislike about their work and how it makes us feel. We then move onto experimenting with different media and planning and creating our own botanical art.

This series of lessons is relevant to KS1 and is available in the sections covering Years 1 and 2.
