"Enterprise is all about creativity, and as parents and educators we have a crucial role to play in inspiring and nurturing an enterprising mindset in our children to further their prospects for an exciting and rewarding future, making the best of their abilities.

Not every child will go on to run their own business, but enterprising qualities such as creativity, independent thinking, team working, and problem solving can positively impact on the way they view themselves, the world they live in, and dealing with the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

The Enterprising Play activities in this section are designed to be easy to complete, with minimum effort and maximum fun!

Although categorised by age these are not prescriptive. Do take into account your children’s developmental milestones, and encourage them wherever possible to take the lead in an activity, leaving you to take their lead in terms of pace and complexity."
