Alphabet Activities for Children

Welcome to our Alphabet section!

Learning letters is vital to children's developing literacy. Writing letters progresses this and also encourages fine motor skills.

Our alphabet activities will help your little ones get to grips with learning their letters. We have created activities for children to recognise and practice writing every letter of the alphabet. As their confidence and technique increases, they can start writing the words as well.

We have also created alphabet flash-cards, with and without pictures, plus letter-writing practice sheets.

You can also print the lyrics and the colouful letters from the alphabet song. Play the 'Zed' version of the alphabet song opposite. If you prefer, you can listen to the 'Zee' version here.

The alphabet song is a featured album track on Sarah J. MacDonald's Magical World of Nursery Rhymes: a brilliant collection of children's songs and nursery rhymes.

To listen to the tracks and buy the album visit iTunes or the Amazon MP3 store here.
