Gold1: Roman Britain - Uncovering Black British History

This Roman Britain teaching resource is a Black British History lesson written by Professor David Olusoga and his sister Dr Yinka Olusoga. We focus on the Roman Empire, in particular a woman called the Ivory Bangle Lady, who is one of the earliest examples we know of a person of African ancestry living in Britain.

The PDF file provides teacher notes. It contains keywords, an index for the accompanying PowerPoint presentation, and a worksheet.

The editable PowerPoint classroom presentation displays the lesson content (select the orange button to download). Please use ‘Slide Show’ mode to activate animations.
